2008 Rev 3 Dodgy Fan

Featured Replies

My 2008 Rev 3 overheated at the weekend and the fan wasn't working. After testing it by looping a wire through the connector blocks, the fan does work but it is sticking. It turns, then sticks. What I want to know is if it can be fixed/cleaned or whatever, to make it work? Or, do I need to buy a new fan? This is what I was hoping to avoid at £123!!

Thanks

Have a look on ebay for electric fans a fraction of the cost of beta ones aprilla ones are quite close if I remember right. Most will fit with a wee bit of bodging

I think you may have a problem with the fan module. Connect 12 volts dc directly to the fan then you will know if it is a fan problem or something else.
