2003 Gasgas Raga Model

Featured Replies

Afternoon can anyone shed any light on the model

My friends got one for sale just wondering if there's

Any common faults with them etc

Been offered a clean one 850

Are they factory tuned??

Any help be appreciated

What's difference with the 03 250 and this except 30cc more

Thanks

the factory bike has a few "trick" bits on them like the ohlins shock and keihin carb. they ride nicer than the standard ones providing they are set up ok. go for it so long as it is clean. make sure the engine is nice and quiet and he has changed the oil regularly. look through the sight glass . if it is white the seals have gone and would need the water pump renewing. there will be a rattle when the clutch is out at idle. it will go when clutch pulled in. check bearings and genral wear items. i believe that year had a weak gearbox. although if its been going fine for the last couple of years the dodgy bits have probably been changed.

The `03 Raga was actually based on the `04 model. In `o4 most of the problems were fixed. The bike was and is lighter than most modern bikes today. The down side it is too powerful for the average rider, but quite fun! Good luck!
