Fantic 125 Carb

Featured Replies

Hi there

My Fantic TX250 125cc still wont rev out. Stripped carb, cleaned etc. Bike starts and will rev but over half throttle will bog. Removing the carb boot, so it just pulls with no air filter is a little better, but still not right. Inside the carb boot (joining to the air filter) is also very wet with petrol ??

It is a  dellorto carb, shown below. Is this the right carb ? Is so what are factory settings ?

The nozzles on each side of throttle body should have a linking pipe with a hole in the middle of the link, just may be 1 thing adding to another problem

The lack of link pipe shouldn't make any difference. It sounds like it is far too rich - have you stripped the carb and made sure everything is working as it should? PHBL24BS is the right carb but I cant help with jet sizes etc; ring Bill Pye he will tell you what the spec should be.

Check that your exhaust is clear and free flowing . I had a missing rubber blow gun tip give me fits on my fm330 . It ran just as you describe till I took the silencer off and found my missing blow  gun tip lodged neatly in the pipe.... I felt stupid and relief all at once ! :)
