Fantic 247 Fork Seals And Oil

Featured Replies

Hi,

My 35mm USD fork needs new seals! But i found different informations in the internet. So just to be sure i order the right stuff:

1. Is 35x47x10 the correct size?

2. Do i need 2 or 4 of them for the complete fork?

3. 225cc Oil 7.5W in each side? Synthetic?

4. Forgot anything else?

I see its been a while since you posted, but since i just did the forks on my 307, I thought I should put the info out there. The oil seals for the marzocchi usd fork are 35x47x7.5/10. there are 2 of these. the dust wiper seals are different it seems, they seem more like 35 x 48 x 7 and there are 2 of these. For some reason the dust seal area has a larger diameter on my set and had to use my old dust seals for now. 225cc 7.5 wt in each leg seemed to work ok for me. the manual says 130mm from the top of the stanchion with the spring removed, but i didnt bother measuring. I went with what I had seen elsewhere. probably doesn't matter if synthetic or not. I went synthetic as it was the only 7wt oil they had at the shop.

Good Luck
