Difficulty Engaging Neutral

Featured Replies

My son has a gas gas txt 2012 125cc but just recently it has become difficult to engage neutral. Any thoughts on what might be wrong ?

Thanks crazybond700. My concern is that the bike was engaging neutral without any problem then all of a sudden it seems to be quite difficult.

I haven't found a trials bike yet that is easy to get into neutral with your foot while running. I Usually do it by hand or just switch the bike off in gear.

If you can find neutral easy you will be sure to find it while your halfway up a hill too!!!

I have been able to find neutral on all my pros , the secret is the oil viscosity, the thinner the better -  ELF is the best oil in my opinion

Yes none of them can find neutral easily. It requires a certain touch but in the end they are really designed to not find any neutral while riding. Its rare to find a false neutral on a gasgas.

Your clutch may be starting to drag a little. They are a lot harder to find neutral when there is a slight torque through the gearbox. A sharp tap with the heel when in first usually works
