was going to buy a "O" ring chain yesterday but found that it wont fit my bike (not enough gap by the rear brake lever).So bought an "Iris" trial pro chain (coloured gold)

Is there anything I should do to it before fitting or should I just put it on and away to go.

i have run one on my mont and am very happy with it, i just fitted it and keep it lubed with chain spray

I'd suggest you clean off all the "factory grease" as this is little more than packing grease. Best to remove it ) and put a coat of proper chain lube on. Hot soapy water and a good stiff brush usually works fine to clean it off.
