Can someone listen to this noise and advise what it is. The bike is a 2012 gas gas txt pro and the noise just seemed to become noticeable pretty much all of a sudden. Thanks.

Without listening the advise would be, open up the clutchcover (lay bike on the side) and have a look at the kickstarter gear, idle gear, clutch, and the crank gear. Aswell look for play on the clutch.

If the noise goes away when the clutch lever is pulled its normal.

I have just acquired the same bike (125 engined) well looked after and little used.

I also have a slight rattle which disappears when the clutch is pulled in. 

biffsgasgas I am happy you think its normal I just havent heard on any previous

(none GasGas) bikes Ive owned.

 

A little can be normal. Has to do with the design of the clutch. But inspection might be a good thing.
