Are you reasonably sure the measurements are the same for the

OSSA clutch as they are for the GG in this video?

 

Everyone who rides my bike is amazed at how hard my clutch is to actuate

I get arm pump during trials. Fixing this would be a big help for me.

 

I have a buddy "BIFF" with the same clutch (or very similar at least) in his GG and his is easily 3x as easy to pull as mine is.

Dealer advised me to use the original levers and that helped with lever pull  (I had Apico levers).

Measured both original and Apico and found that the distance from mounting hole to actuator pin was different: about 3 mm. larger on the Apico.

Not yet, just planning ahead. Does not look like it will help me anyway.

 

I did find the clutch thickness specs.

 

Check the flatness of the clutch discs, and the total thickness of the pack (3+2 discs). The minimum thickness is 9’75mm

Will get it apart this week and put a mic on it.  Will check those levers too 

as suggested above. Forgot I still have the plates from my previous clutch

I had the same question, my dealer Joa Hindren replyed nicely:

 

 

 The correct thickness is for your use about 9,70-9,83 mm. If it's

more, clutch starts dragging and less then slipping. It can work somehow

even with slightly thinner setting. You don't need a tool, just take care

that the spring is in the middle (eyes and fingers) and tighten the bolts

all the same. This is how I do it.

Just took mine apart as it's dragging both cold and warm.

Can't get in to neutral with engine running.

Clutch pack was 10,1,took it down to 9,81,still dragging but it is a bit easyer to pull.

Did you warm up the engine? Bottom end warms up when the ventilator starts to run + some additional 5-10 min when the cylinder heats up the bottom crankcase oil where the clutch plates run in. Mine drags cold too, but after warmup there is almost no drag at all.

And forgot to add one important thing: it drags a little on very cold weather even when warm. I think maybe running a thinner oil for cold weather?
