January 5, 201610 yr sorry can't help you with pictures, but i can tell you that i never cut the pipes of my Fantics, i only use a blowtorch and the pipe became clean and the engine run well
January 5, 201610 yr I cut mine open a few years ago and I cut half of 1 and half of 2 and it worked great! Lee harris will be your man to ask. Dig him out on Facebook
January 5, 201610 yr Author ok, found these is the pipe "factory" empty or filled with "wool" ? Edited January 5, 201610 yr by elsimonell
January 7, 201610 yr Cut at circle 1 as it hides behind air box after it's been welded back, there will be a sort of packing in there, but I ran my without after burning it all out, no problems.
January 7, 201610 yr I ride a 240 and have a few expansion chambers , 1st one when I got the bike , got the serious Cleaning/soak in solvent and the the torch treatment .And then a blowgun to get all the debris out , rinse & repeat ...2nd one got cut open to see what was inside , similar to the photo , repacked and welded back up ....NOT worth the effort .! My bike runs better with the burned out unrepacked pipe than with the repacked pipe . Sounds just a tick more ringdingy, but make sure you've got a good clean silencer on it and it will respond better at all rpm's. And the pipes are about irreplaceable, so why risk damaging one ????
