January 25, 201610 yr Any one owning or use to own one of this 125cc? Found one in Beta dealer in Austria and thinking about it. Any known problems to expect or to look for? I never owned any Beta, what are the comments in total and what about quality? Thanks a lot!
January 25, 201610 yr On top of all the usual trials stuff like worn linkages and signs of poor servicing or abuse check the clutch doesn't stick, check threads into the frame aren't striped and that there's no water in the oil. Most issues are easily fixed if the price is right, but parts aren't cheap. Also is it a 2010 model or a 2009 model sold in 2010? I can't recall the details but I've read about issues with 2009 bikes.
January 25, 201610 yr They are a good bike and better built than the others, Beta are good with warranty as far as frames and swinging arms go. Clutches can stick on any trials bike, The 4rt that everyone sings love songs about does it too! The rear spring is a tad soft but easily uprated and the waterpump cases corrode, Stators have been a problem for some but again easily sorted. In general you only hear about ones that have problems, The 100's that ride trouble free week in week out don't get mentioned (unless they are a 4rt). Beta parts are not cheap, the usual parts that are not available aftermarket are priced at stupid money.
January 25, 201610 yr Clutch fix well documented on the Beta forum,otherwise as above.Do remember it's 5 years old and it won't be like a 15 model but they are basically a good choice
