October 14, 200520 yr after 20 mins riding at charltons you have riden every where, under age riders screaming through the car parks, none members trying to get in, i suppose if you like belting up hills for most of your practice session its ok
October 14, 200520 yr Author charltons car park is verry buizzy kids flying about butas soon as you go up a threw the woods there is loads of space and more hills that i diddnt know about.
October 14, 200520 yr Hi, am interested in other points-of-view on this, and any other NE practice areas. Am thinking of buying another bike for myself after a few years lay off, and for my son (aged 12) for the first time. Decision hinges on where we can ride, teach him the basics and get some practice in, before starting to ride a few trials again. I used to ride regularly at Charltons and also at Dalton Woods (Darlington), but probably 5 years ago now since I rode at either. Cheers
October 14, 200520 yr Dalton Woods is still available, it is now organised via White Bros in Darlington.
October 14, 200520 yr Author i would storngly recimend charltons for your son so meny friendyly kids trying to out-do each other some places i cant get to like the verry top because you need to do big hill climbs and im only a beginner but, as iv said charltons top place mate
October 14, 200520 yr You would be able to drive a car to the top of charltons, there is a easy track from the bottom car park right to the very top of the practise ground. so that the smaller/ younger riders can get about.
October 14, 200520 yr Author the bottom is like flat land like hard mudd dust stuff if you go 1 way you come to a river its great to ride in. At the massive car park theres rocks logs conceret (spelling) pipes rocks e.c also small hils great for bigginer . so you have gone up the small hills you come to a second part (a bit like the car park ) theres steep drops to get to the river. and if you go up threw the woods more and more big hills. as im a lerner iv never been past there >
October 14, 200520 yr Author the car park is at the bottem the top is hard the bottem ( where all the lerners lern ) is easy so if hes a lerner he'l want to be at the bottem lol
