March 9, 201610 yr I've just ridden it around in the yard, where I can't really detect a difference in maps. Which is the higher power map, 1 or 2? Thank you in advance!

March 9, 201610 yr The large square button on the top, Mode 2, is the dry, powered map. The smaller rectangle button on the bottom, Mode 1, is the standard, wet map. Edited March 10, 201610 yr by kirk wessells
March 9, 201610 yr my manual says big button wet small button dry i suspect you won't feel much difference till you wring its neck lol
March 10, 201610 yr My son played with one last Sunday and said the same thing. What power. (Still too heavy) Edited March 11, 201610 yr by lineaway
March 10, 201610 yr my manual says big button wet small button dry ... That's true for the 4RT260. But the question was about a 300RR.
March 10, 201610 yr I've just ridden it around in the yard, where I can't really detect a difference in maps. Which is the higher power map, 1 or 2? Thank you in advance! Having had a twin map PTB on a couple of bikes and played with lots of maps -to be honest until you get in sections that are quiet extreme it is hard to tell the difference between maps. Cant see why the RR should be any difference. Suggest you use what feels to be the softness map until you find you are struggling for power then try the more extreme map.
March 10, 201610 yr I can imagine the 300RR will be short of power, perhaps a turbo or supercharger needs to be fitted.
March 13, 201610 yr Author Thank you for all of the replies. Can't tell much difference, if any, on setting 1 or 2, but I'm not using the upper end of the range. I'm leaving the setting in full power, since I'm not noticing a difference. I'm a rank novice, not to motorcycling, but to trials. A very nice, easy power flow down low and in the middle, I like that. I have to wonder if those coming from 250 2 strokes will wish for more snap. My 250 Gas Gas can scare me if I grab a bit too much, the Montesa 300RR, no. Edited March 13, 201610 yr by desmo_kid
