Hi lads, my techno gave up the ghost and mechanic said i needed to get the stator re wound but the spark is still weak. He reckons the cdi needs replacing but we have searched high and low and cannot find one anywhere. Apparently the cdi used in my bike was only used for a year or so and its rare.

My question is, could i get a matching stator and cdi from another bike and fit them and would it work?

Is that lampkins? Mechanic said he was onto them looking for a cdi, wonder why they didn't say it
