4Rt Showa Fork Oil Level Adjustment

Featured Replies

With the standard oil levels as per manual I find the forks pull up fairly suddenly on compression and are not reaching full stroke during a ride.

I am thinking of reducing the oil level slightly to reduce the air spring pressure on full compression.

I presume the left (spring) leg is the one that controls the final stroke, is that correct??

Have any light weight riders reduced the oil level and if so how much??

My vote, change the oil to 2.5 instead of 5 and then run the clickers in a bit.

I am not light weight but love the result.

Good luck.
