Trophy.

Featured Replies

In my garage today I came across an old trophy, BSAOC Walter Wragg Trophy Trial trophy, with the name R Ackerill and 1963 inscribed.

Anybody able to give me any more info', please?

I can't remember how long I've had it and know it arrived in a filthy state in a box of bits.

well BSAOC is the bsa owners club and it would seem walter wragg was a BSA dealer in wellington street sheffield and possibly also in leeds.

maybe some of ur older reader from yorkshire may be able to tell more.

There can't be many more older than me........ :icon_salut:

Hi Guy's.

Spen ,

Wraggs of Sheffield, were the long time sponsor of "Moon Eyes" John Cooper, first on BSA Goldie engined bikes, and then Manx Norton's. from 1960 to 1966. including the TT.

Being a BSA dealer at the time would mean that they would have probably had trials riders they would have been helping to,and the local clubs.

Regards Charlie.

I remember Wraggs, both at Sheffield and Chesterfield. I was wondering if anybody knew of the recipient of the trophy, R Ackerill, I'd like to give it back to him or her or the family.
