My mate has decided he wants a 2 stroke again instead of his 4rt. He narrowed it down to either a 15/16 Sherco 250 or evo 250, in both cases maybe factory version. What are your thoughts as to which to plumb for? There doesn't seem to be many evo 250's about, especially factory versions? Any reason for this that I don't know about?

Beta is more popular, hence the lack of numbers

 

What's wrong with his 4rt?

I'm biased having had both, from a novice point of view I found the beta much softer power delivery and preferred the suspension, I went the other way and went to a four stroke. Still have the 2015 evo 250 2t to sell though!!

Easy job to retard the ignition to soften the power delivery on a Sherco if that's what you want.
