Hot Gasgas

Featured Replies

My bike overheated today, the fan motor failed and it dumped all the coolant into the gearbox. It didn’t seize but it got very hot!!!

Would this have done any damage to the piston/bore?

1st step take off the ex pipe and look up the orifice !

Your water pump seal let go ... Fix that and try it out  , or just pull the cylinder and inspect ... but the water pump is the most likely culprit ....

the fan sensor will not work if all the coolant has leaked out to yhe trans as it has no coolant to sense.

It was the fan that caused the problem, I came off and broke the connector plug!

the heat and pressure caused the seal to fail, its also broke the impeller

Don't know what hurts the most, the money to repair it or my foot from the fall!

Or your ego... I always think these things wouldn't happen if I was a better rider - big blow to the ego when they do (and they always do :chairfall: ).
