November 21, 20169 yr To save me trawling through the huge topic, am I right in remembering that it's just a case of lifting the tangs so that they are in a straight diagonal line with the floats ??? If you get my drift. Edited November 21, 20169 yr by cabby
November 22, 20169 yr That and bending the right angle tang to limit float travel and nippering a small hole in the vent tubes above the level of the float bowl to stop the vents acting like siphons if fuel gets splashed up into them.
November 22, 20169 yr Actually they pointed to the tower where the pilot jet sits. Way more of an angle than you would think. http://trialsport.com.au/beta/Manuals/mikuni/ Edited November 22, 20169 yr by lineaway
November 22, 20169 yr Cabby I think you should read what I wrote way back then. It is NOT just bending tangs.
November 22, 20169 yr Author I've actually done it to an old 270 before and it was very effective, when I say done it, I did the mod though can't exactly remember what I did but thought it was along the lines of just lifting them up to be pointing in a straight line as per that trialsport picture.
November 22, 20169 yr Author Hi Billy, I've read through the 7 page topic and folk referring to your mod in it but can't see where your post is in that topic other than your later post where you mention it again ??? Am I reading the wrong topic ? it's the one that's pinned.
