Thanks for the answers to my other questions i now have another couple you can perhaps help me with

Should i bathe the air filter in oil before fitting or should it be fit dry ?

How often should i change the engine oil

Thanks once again yours mark m

Get actual air filter oil.

It really does work best.

I change oil every 4 rides.

Probably overkill, but I use cheap oil so I don't feel bad about dumping it.

Don't bathe, cover and lightly squish the filter to distribute it without having it dripping wet.

and don't overoil it as not only is it wasteful, in my experience, it can make the bike run rich (though I have to add that was a ty250). In fact to avoid this potential problem I use an aerosol foam oil filter (PJ1) rather than the liquid method. Of course you must always clean the filter properly (again PJ1 of course) & let it dry properly
