Endurocross Qualifier

Lafferty and Cheves also used trials tires but only Geoff and Cheves used them on both ends!

Perhaps the Trials tire was a mistake on the front for Geoff, he appeared to have a front end wash twice, which cost him dearly.  The first he and Knight took each other out in the first moto start, then in the Semi Geoff washed the front end, stalled the motor and DNF'ed the race.

I noticed that Geoff had a trials front on too...kind of thought that might be a mistake. I've done some experimenting with trials tires on my Enduro too and a front knobbie is still the way to go IMO. I bet trials rears will start showing up in other places too. Saw that Jimmy Lewis used one in the recent "Last Man Standing" race. I'm thinking the freestyle guys, particularly the "pole jump" guys would see a real benefit.

..just goes to show how tough the Scott is then as I would have thought him to be in the running on time, if not on marks lost - maybe he did two laps?

Yep, that's current world enduro champion, this year's ISDE overall winner and ex-British expert trials champion David Knight. Bit handy, that lad.

Also wins the odd supermoto, motocross, Weston beach race, Erzberg Iron Mountain, Hell's Gate in Italy and he rode a fair portion of the Scott on flat tyres....

The Knight rider has a thing for hollywood too. From the knighter website it says David has a slightly unhealthy infatuation with Daisy Duke. It shows from the General Lee Dukes of Hazzard helmet. Notice the stars have been replaced by the Three Legs of Man, the national emblem of the Isle of Man.

I'm suprised none of you trials trivia buffs caught my error in this story. David never rode the SSDT ( my bad ), he did ride the Scott.
