Can anyone tell me the purpose of the vents in the rear mud guard.Can they be blocked off, looks like they could cause problems with water getting into the air filter and box.

You mean like tearing a lump er duct tape off't roll and sticking it ower t'oil

I think you should give the factory some credit - they are experienced ex World Round riders - they still ride the Scottish and they certainly would n't put vents in the rear mudguard if it was going to cause big problems - just like on the Gas Gas the problem comes from the rider when he or she washes the bike without first covering the vents and plugging the muffler.

Outlaw Dave do you have an 06 sherco or have you seen 1 close up was out on mine last Sunday and do think the vent at the air filter will be trouble. Thought the Gas Gas air filter had a lid on it .
