February 26, 20179 yr Hello guys. Just got a 2017 gas gas contact 250 today and was told by the dealer to mix fuel: avgas 80:1 ratio! I couldn't help to notice when I got home that on the gas gas website. The manual says 50:1 ratio! I m a little confused, so I figure I would ask what are you guys running 50:1 or 80:1? Also, what would be better? Avgas or race gas? Thanks everyone for input
February 26, 20179 yr 80:1 is a very commonly used mix ratio for any modern trials bike. Mix it 80:1.
February 26, 20179 yr 2003 GasGas 300 Pro (Old BAGG). 80:1 with 110 octane race gas. (leaded, NO ethanol) (previous owner was running 90:1 same fuel) We do have 93 octane "off road recreational" fuel available locally, basically all gasoline no ethanol. Not sure if it is leaded or not, did not look that closely. Not sure how well that will perform in the GasGas. but I think I am going to start using in Big tiTTy (86 TT350)
February 27, 20179 yr It's worth remembering that US and EU octane numbers are calculated differently ... I've just been chucking in regular unleaded (UK 95ron) at 80:1 My 1980 TY175 gets 50:1
