beta 4t oil pump

Featured Replies

Hi guys, just changed oil on my rev 4t, cant remember  if oil should dissappear  from sight glass when running . Is there anyway to check that oil is being pumped around any advice  would be much appreciated .

Thanks Rob

My 4t didn't have a sight glass just a plug but the oil disappears from the sight glass on every mx 4 stroke that I have owned so i it disappears it is pumping.

I no longer have my Evo 4T (same motor as Rev 4T) but from memory the oil level stayed up to the top of the sight glass when the motor was running, providing, that is, the bike was upright.

You could check oil is circulating by taking off one of the valve covers, but they're not easy to access.

I always found the motor very reliable so you may be concerned over nothing.
