Need help finding out the year and model of this USA Gas Gas.  Can anybody translate the VIN for me?

I think it is a 200 made in May 2002 number 201

16 02 05 02 0201

16 = 200 (175cc)

02 = Model year

05  = Month manufactured

02  = Year of manufacture

0201 = sequential production number

 

 

 

Can you post a picture of the bike?

The bike has a title that says it is a 200cc MYR 2002   ???

No NOT buying it is  a donor parts engine to fix up another bike for a friend.

 That engine is not a good motor to rob from. Bad shift drum, shift shaft and clutch.What yeat bike ate you fixing Billy?

 Or throw that project in a corner and come to the Red Rock MX track in Gallup, NM. Start time is 9am Sunday. Nice short 5 mile loop, should be lots of fun since I am the TM.

Rebuilding a 2003 Gas Gas clutch for a freind.   Somebody stuck a 2002 clutch in it and it is not working correctly. 

One needs to be Arnold Swazerniger to pull the clutch in. 

Never dug into  a Gas Gas so a new frontier for me.  Thank god I know Beta's inside out and ride a 2017 250 cc Factory. .  

 

I'm assuming both bikes have the same type of engine

Is it A or B ?

 

The clutch is hard because the finger hieght is incorrect.
