May 7, 20179 yr Hi all, I fitted a brand new apico lanyard switch to my mates bike this week and it has failed (stuck closed circuit) within the first ride today. After removing the switch from the bars to check the connections underneath it started working again... Has anyone known an issue like this before? Is it possible that the part from eBay is a fake? Any pointers greatly appreciated!
May 7, 20179 yr I've fitted dozens its common just the grease in the mechanism if you just click it on & off lots & a wee tap usually dose the trick
May 7, 20179 yr I have had trouble too. I left the lanelli ( no doubt spelt incorrectly but to lazy to check) top on mine when transporting on my bike rack and it had disapeared when i arrived home. Fitted new Apico replacement and it was tempremental, it would stop but not instantly. I slackened the mounting which helped a little. Over time it has freed up and now works fine. I think they can be quite sticky when new.
