November 28, 200520 yr Hi, I went to move my 200 GG last night and had oil leaking from the right fork at the bottom of the fork leg. The allen bolt at the bottom of the fork leg was tight. It has not been ridden for about 2 weeks but gets moved often and I have never seen oil on the floor before. It was definitely coming from the bottom of the fork leg. Any ideas??
November 28, 200520 yr I guess the answer would be to take the leg out, turn it upside-down, take the bolt out and check it out. I suppose there should be a sealing washer there. Maybe it was left out. Check for cracks. The possibility of a crack would make it a real bad idea to ride before you check it out.
December 2, 200520 yr Like Charlie said, check that bolt and sealing washer. Probably got a bit of dirt or a filing under the washer and causing the leak.
