could anyone tell me the minimum thickness for the clutch friction plates on a 2008 rev 4t. mine are 3mm but i cant find any information.

i have done the clutch mod which although i have a much smoother action, it has not cured the sticking and it has a tendency for clutch slip.

are any brands of oil particularly helpful ?

I'm not sure about the '08 but all the 4t I've looked into are 3mm. The part of the clutch fix that helps the cold stick is the removal of excess glue between the "cork" friction pads.  

I just note that because sometime people say they've done the "clutch fix" and later they admit they only did part of it.
