Evo 300 4t New plug?

Featured Replies

A recent test article mentioned the 2018 300 4t model using a plug that extends further into the chamber. Anyone know if thats a new plug or a new head design?

Nobody got any ideas? I'm wondering if this is a new spec plug that could be retro fitted. Or is this just PR BS and actually the bike's unchanged.

The 2018  brochure is showing a different plug (NGK MR7B1-8) than is in my 2016 Evo 4T 300 (NGK CR7EB).  This is the Factory bike brochure, so don't know whether that makes a difference.

It was Ben Hemingway who mentioned it in a test for a well known publication and he was apparently riding a standard 300. If you google this pug code you won't find much except maybe reference to it being used in a snowmobile. Quite intriguing!

We got to ride the new standard 2018 300 4T. Alot more zip than the previous standards. Not as much as a Factory, but not far off. Definately louder, but a good type of louder than the sewing machine it sounded like before. Nice looking bike.

Guys ..... I looked at the spare parts codes of my My2017 and My2018.
..... identical ....
for head and cylinder .... ?

...... only different code that:

Thats interesting thanks. I can't find the plug code online. Must be unusual. Have you had the plug out and does it look like it has a longer reach or any other major difference?

Brilliant! Thanks for your help. With the part number 90982 I managed to find it in the UK. As you say Laser Iridium plug. The key to finding it is that the number is MR7B( then the letter i rather than the number 1) -8. Should be able to source one and give it a try now.

???Ciao hodie2 !!!......anche io dovendo cambiare candela .......farò  come te !!!?

Wonder what the key differences are between this plug and the Iridium version of the stock plug (iridium CR7EIX)?
