Handlebars

Featured Replies

Ive got to get some new handlebars, ive got the choice between Apico ones.

and Renthal ones.

They are similarly priced, but I was wondering which would be better for my 99 GG,

also what rise should i look at and what does the rise bit actually mean - something to do with the bend i gather.

Thanks

Right so my current ones are a 5.0 rise, thanks for that now i know!

but Apico or Renthal?

I've seen a few pairs of renthal 7/8 bars snap recently

I use apicos and they are a really good strong bar with a nice bend and sweep. they bend rather than snap....!

dont buy renthals...they are crap!! i have had 3 sets snap in my hand!! ive had apicos on 4 a while and they seem much better although the cross bar does come loose quite often...at least they dont snap..

if renthal 7/8 handlbars are fitted and used correctly they will not snap.i have used them since 1975 with no problems at all.
