December 3, 20187 yr Hi guys, new to website today. Bought the bike last week, went through all basic checks, previous owner started it etc brought it home and left it in garage for 3 days untouched. Kicked it over started straight away then I left it idle and walked away to put helmet on and it cut out and hasn't started since. Took spark plug out cleaned and there is no spark. Stuck my finger down cap slowly kicked over (no shock) I'm Worried about the whingings as I read that's a common problem. No kill switch on bike (I'll put one On ASAP) Any ideas please guys would be appreciated.
December 3, 20187 yr Then take off the cap and trim back the wire. Next thing is to check the grounds. If you have no kill button you have to find the black wire coming from the CDI.

December 4, 20187 yr Gets progressivly harder to start. Sometimes will start easily until it gets warmed up then won’t restart. Then start OK a few days later but cut out once warm. Just generally bad running even when it starts and loss of power under load. The problem was usually the trigger coil would go out so the cdi gets a weak trigger signal which is only sometimes enough to fire the cdi. If you’re not seeing a nice fat spark then clean all the connections and try again but the odds are against you. At least it is fixable since there are s few places that rewind the stators.
