January 4, 20197 yr I worked to 8-10NM when fitting new dimpled plates to my '98 315R. Filled the case with Dexron III and she ran perfectly... no drag and a lovely light action. Tighten the bolts in a criss-cross format to load-up the clutch mech evenly. Edited January 4, 20197 yr by riffraffretro

January 6, 20197 yr Dexron III is widely available and (in my opinion), does the job as well in the 315R - particularly when combined with fitment of dimpled plates - as the Elf oil. The 315's clutch is fabled for suffering with excessive drag... mine was unrideable until I changed the plates and reverted to Dexron III.
January 6, 20197 yr Author Hi yeah mine was pretty bad!! Fitted dimpled plates and am waiting for a new o ring to come before filling up and having a go! Hopefully will be on par with yours! I'll try the dexron in the near future and see how it goes.. Thanks
