Advice on 2nd hand Beta Evo price

Featured Replies

Morning all,

A bike has popped up that I am considering, and was hopeful that you could advise on whether the price was reasonable?

2011 Beta Evo 250, road registered, recent clutch and graphics. Also comes with an arrow front pipe with original as well.

Do trick pipes make a difference on these? If it was removed would it need re-jetting?

Does this seem reasonable? Looks tidy in the photos and but need to view it as aware photos can look more flattering than reality!

Thanks in advance.

you really need to see the bike, before you can even guess the price.

it could be worn out, or like new.

road registered is a bonus, its nice to have a log book when you buy a bike

Appreciate it is all about condition! I guess my question should be what does £2k buy you in reality around that sort of model? Something ropey, reasonable or in showroom condition?

Assuming it's the one on a certain auction website,it looks good ?The front pipe is nice to have rather than a big performance increase,it might have been rejetted  to suit.Check chain and sprockets, linkage swing arm and wheel bearings etc.Get it hot enough so the fan runs and check it still runs well, ignition systems on these are known for problems which show up more when hot.

Be good at £1750,how good are your negotiating skills?Lastly is it registered in the sellers name and address?good luck

I have run an S3 Ti front pipe  on a Beta  09 290 for a few years now  with no changes to the stock jetting. Runs perfectly and does seem to  pull nicely on the low end, but it is definitely noisier.
