Help needed...bike starts ...runs for few seconds and cuts out

  • Author

Hi yes , that's all been done, thinking definitely electrical, starts first kick , the dies after a few seconds

If this problem just started after you have worked on the bike and this bike has the Dell'orto carb perhaps you have put the floats in upside down.

Disconnect the kill switch as a first point of investigation.

Have you replaced the pipe that links the two overflow /breathers on the sides of the carb?

No not that... thanks

breather vent in the cap blocked?...try removing the cap and see if that sorts it....do you have a fuel filter fitted in the line?...I kept getting an air lock in one of mine...changed the position of it and it sorted the problem...

good luck!
