Having issues with my neighbours  2006 250 TXT Pro. Can only get 1st, N and 2nd gear. Some times after it's been going for a while 3rd is available.

I've changed the selector spring and top hot. Next on the list is the ratchet selector but is there any guides on how to replace this or is it easy to get to?

Also does it sound like the adjustment screw would solve this?

    You are looking at splitting the cases and replacing the shift shaft assembly. Not something to do if you have never split a motor.

    Hopefully the adjust screw will work as I don't fancy splitting the case
