Hi. 

Just got a 2016 evo factory, my old 2010 has an ohlins rear shock. Will this swap over to the 2016? I thought I'd ask rather than get both in bits and find out it's not compatible.

Probably best to ask Ohlins.

My 15 Factory worked great with an Ohlins off a standard Evo, I think the 17 Factory was the switch to R16V shock.  I think the 16 will be fine.

Was the std evo you got the shock off a 2015 bike? 

Yep, I used the same Ohlins unit on a std 12, std 15 then the Factory 15.

I believe the Factory 13 and Factory 17 had slightly longer shocks. Different aluminum cam as well. The upper and lower frame mounts are all the same on all EVO models.
