July 11, 20197 yr Hi guys, newbie here, just got into trials and bought myself a Beta Evo 300 4T this week to have ago at some trials. Noticed that when the engine is running in neutral it’s noisy from the clutch side, soon as I engage the clutch the noise goes. Is this normal or something to strip down to have a look at. Sorry if this has been asked before. cheers Dean ??
July 11, 20197 yr Normal you get it on all bikes even road stuff my evo done it from brand new just forget about it and enjoy it
July 11, 20197 yr Its more than likely the oil in the clutch case is not damping the noise of the rattle that is the clutch basket and plates as the oil is quite thin. As tecnowaldo states just get on and enjoy. Fill the clutch case with EP 80 or 90 and there will be no noise but your clutch will be extremely snatchy, grabby and not at all nice.
