Trying on and buying a helmet in Belfast.

Featured Replies

Any fellow Northern Irish folks here? I live in Asia where I can’t find an oval shaped helmet to fit me. I’ll be home in Belfast in March and I hope to find somewhere to try on and buy a helmet, but the last time I was back I couldn’t find anywhere. Can anyone tell me where in and around Belfast sells helmets?

thanks in advance,

D

Leadmines motorcycles in newtownards (25 minute drive) definitely the widest range of trials helmets, easiness for trying on, and run by a helpful guy. Would recommend contacting before going as doesn't keep strict 9-5 hours, but open a few late nights

After that theres norman watts or russells motorcycles, both close to carryduff, again a 20 minute drive. Mainly MX shops, but may have a few trials helmet available (been years since i was in them). As for actually in belfast, afraid not.

Perfect answer, sir. I’ll get myself sorted when I get home. Thanks

"Leadmines" is run as a shop from a farm (don't let that put you off) but definitely worth a call as can be tricky to find

I’ve found him on Facebook. Yeah, I’ll looks like a decent set up. I’ve a mate lives not too far from him, so I should be able to get a lift easily enough. Thanks again.
