Hi. Looking to change oil in my gas gas 280 1999

it says in the manual 10w-40 750ml

just wondering if that’s correct oil or would there be a recommendation for.

also, I know the viewing glass you don’t fill to the top? Is it just over half? Or three quarters

    I never bother with the sight glass for determining the level. After thoroughly draining, 600mL of ATF rated to Dexron III works well. Bye, Peter B.
