2016 300RR Won’t Shift

Hey there ya’ll, I have a friend with a 2016 300RR that will only go in 1st or Neutral, but no higher.  Any ideas?

    Bent selector shaft. Drain water and gear oil, clutch side off, clutch out, fit new shaft re assemble.
