got one on a 315 Mont. Hard plastic  flat "T" section about 5mm thick attached using rear bashplate mounting bolts, with the bottom of the "T" covering linkage. Takes the hit on rocks / steps. Only ever seen it on this one bike & its a good idea. Very neat  & unobtrusive. Will try to dig out a few pics.
