December 18, 20205 yr Just fitting a piston on a gasgas pro250 2006 and it looks like the little end could slide around 5mm either side on the pin out the rod when complete. Is that right, what stops it moving. Edited December 18, 20205 yr by Vlmark Adding detail
December 18, 20205 yr Author Sorry, when the piston is fitted to the rod and the circlips are in, you could slide the little end around 5mm on the gudgeon pit. There's nothing to stop it.

December 20, 20205 yr It's normal, seems to be the same on all the bikes iv ever worked on motocross and trials. most pistons are forged so once the gudgen pin is fitted the little end bearing can't make its way out by has side play,I always used to think there should be a couple of small bearings in there taking up the space. I assume the bearing must just centre itself in the conrod end in how its designed.
