Yep I think i learned that lesson many years ago, Carb cleaner is evil stuff. You have to be careful on the gold wheels on our bikes if you have them like i do on my bike. I also have an africa twin, again with hood wheels, you have to be very careful as to which cleaning agent you use as it can easily damage the gold finish. For example the car wheel cleaning sprays from the likes of autoglym etc will damage the finish in a flash!
October 8, 20223 yr Author The other parts of my frame also had some battle scars on them, so found these graphics for £12.00 for both sides and the air box graphic too. They look pretty good for not a lot of cash!
October 10, 20223 yr Someone's been waxing their chain! In other news, those decals look good, the only thing I found with the cheapy decals is they're not a s durable as the originals ... still, they do the job of taking the worst scratches and for the price are basically disposable
