well i was riding my bike around the yard the other day

nothing hard on the bike, and i was just on some flat ground, pulled the clutch in, and all of a sudden the bike got louder then normal

it sounds like its comming from the clutch, when its in neutral it sounds normal, and when you put it in gear it sounds normal, it seems to make the noise only when the rear tire is moving, and the noise is definately comming from the engine, i'de just done an oil change on it, and only had about an hour on it since the oil change, the clutch and everything works the same, nothing seems to be affected

so i did another oil change to see if anything would come out, but nothing, the oil looks like it was just put in the bike, and there was nothing out of the ordinary on the drain plug magnet

one thing i did notice is its easier to change inbetween my gears now, I haven't had it very long, and im the first owner socould this just be my bike finally breaking in?

or is there something else i should be worried about?

thanks

Nothing to worry about.

Normal for the pro.

ok then

just got a little concerned when the engine starts making noises that i haven't heard before

The only time they clatter on is when the clutch is out & the bike is running in neutral, pull the clutch in & it goes away. This can vary from bike to bike, my last 250 didn't do it at all but the last 280 I had was very noisey. Never noticed them clattering when in gear & on the move.

yeah

its more of a grumbly noise, and its only realy noticable when moving

very strange

;)

Is it not a wineing noise,

I put that down to the fact its a striaght cut gearbox ?

they sound lovely on cars... Wouls cost near a Grand for my mini tho, so was happy with the bike having it ! ;)

yeah

its not the wineing noise

it could just be the way the gears are, that would explain why i don't hear it

when the bike isn't moving

not too sure

I have a 280 05 and it also have noticeable noise in neutral with the clutch out => total normal for GasGas.

The noise you can hear when you are running smoothly is very likely the gearbox; my bike is having the exact same noise. The reason that you only can hear it when you drive slowly is that the noise from the exhaust is making it impossible to hear the gearbox noise when you apply power.

SO NO WOORRIES
