Hello everyone,

I did search the site and did not find anything relevant, so I apologize if this question is a repeat.

I have a 1997 gas gas jtx 270 (i think, might be a txt?)  either way the gas tank is toast, it is cracked and has a hole in it.  As we all probably know HDPE plastic is nearly impossible to repair.  ( I did try epoxy)  So I need a replacement.   I have searched online a fair bit for a replacement tank with no luck.

Does anyone know where I can get any sort of tank that will work?  Will tanks from other gas gas models and years fit?  Are there aftermarket  options?  Has anyone used a generic tank of some kind?

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.

    Try Trials Bike Breakers UK or Allen’s Used Trials spares. Both on F/B. For a new tank try John Shirt Motorcycles who was the importers.
