I just started the process of registering my old TXT. It was a bit of a faff getting help from Gas Gas in Austria and a lot of time was wasted so thought I'd put what I learned on here to help others. It transpires the older Gas Gas machines were imported by John Shirt Motorcycles in Buxton. https://johnshirtmotorcycles.com/ A quick call to them and I was met with the friendliest pair of ladies I've ever spoken to. She gave me all the history they have of my two bikes and for the princely sum of £50, she is happily providing the dating certificate and carrying out all the HMRC NOVA work on my behalf. It's just a case of MOT, wait for the paperwork from John Shirt then send off the V55 to the DVLA. No dramas at all. 

I would highly recommend the team at John Shirt, incredibly helpful.
