When i was out on my bike yesterday the fan didnt come on for quite a long time and the bike was sounding very odd when the throttle was shut off quickly

Does anyone know why this may have been, oh yeah the bike wasnt very hot either.

And today i joined the wires together so it was on constantly and it sounded fine
