Manchester 17 MCC are running the first of their popular "Dead Easy" format trials at Victory Quarry on the outskirts of Buxton this Sunday 2nd April.

The Dead Easy trials are predominately aimed at beginners and clubmen wishing to have an easy run out.

However, due to a loss of venue (due to being water-logged) their usual harder "Masters" Trial will also take place at Victory Quarry with the addition of a hard route.

Basically there will be 3 routes to choose from, with an additonal 50/50 option for the adventurous clubmen and Inter riders wishing to tackle some of the harder sections.

The white route is for absolute beginners, yellow route for clubman wanting an easy day, the red & blue route will aimed at the Expert level riders and 50/50 a mixture of yellow and red/blue sections!

It's in a place called Dove Holes, just outside Buxton.

On the map, there's a place called Bibbington at the bottom, and a lake, that's the quarry, you get to it by going down the thin yellow road that leads up to the main junction.

If you're coming from Chapel en-le-Frith then you come through Dove Holes, through a big dip with a cross roads and as you start climbing out of the dip there's a small road off to the left, follow it up there.

If you're coming the other way (from Buxton), as you start to drop into the dip, look out for the small road on your right, if you get to the crossroads in the centre of dove holes you're a little bit too far.

The turning will be clearly signed (with the usual orange arrows etc) from the A6, about 1 mile outside of Buxton.

Turn off and follow the road until you get right to the brow of the hill you can see in the distance and then turn left (again signed), the trial is about 1/3 mile down there on the left.

Thanks a lot. My Beamish is still in bits due to me working in Scotland all this year so far and having no time work on it, let alone wobble around a muddy field I'm in Cheshire, Northwich, so it isn't too far for an hour or twos mooching around. What time is the start please?
