I currently ride a GG 320 1997 with a 2-piston front brake (which is the stock setup). I wish to upgrade it for something more performant. After shopping around it seems I have the choice of:

- AJP 4-piston (cheapest)

- Galfer 4-piston (more expensive)

- Gas Gas 4-piston (from the more recent models, what year would fit?, price?)

And that brings the questions: will I be able to keep the same master cylinder/lever assembly? Will I be able to re-use the same line and fitting?

If anyone has a recommendation on that topic, let me know.

I have done both front and rear upgrades on the sherco using both galfer and AJP. Both just bolt on the front using same hardware and master cylinder. The rear can be tricky depending on the type of swing arm you have. Get with your dealer to ensure you get the correct mount bracket.

ill talk about the front!

i have a yk2000 Mont and fitted a galfer 4 pot calliper and wavy disk, had the bike 4 years and just put set front pads in! i never had and probs at all.

the standard master cylinder and pipe will fit OK! though you may need to mod the front disk guard or buy on off a 4 pot bike!

you get a set of pads with it but i would recomend using original pads when you replace them!
