Hard/stiff Forks?

Featured Replies

hi, i have recently had the forks seals replaced on my 04 mont. now that i have got them back they seem to be really hard/stiff. could anyone please tell me what is wrong or is tis normal? thanks alot chris

to much oil?

This can make them very stiff.

i rode a friends bike once that had to much oil in and it hurt coming down from a wheelie and cant do the forks any good.

James

Try loosening the clamps at the end of the forks, then bounce the forks. If the clamps are tightened, then the spindle is tightened after, the forks can get distorted and bind. The spindle should always be done firstin my experience.

Hope this helps :wall:
