February 16, 200422 yr I have just purchased 2x ty 175 c's they run ok with the choke pulled out but wont run with the choke in. Has any one out there have some helpfull tips they might share with me.The autolube is still connected to 1 of them and seems to work ok is it wise to leave it connected being so old i'd hate for it to stop working.Any help would be greatly appreciated. February 16, 200422 yr Have you cleaned the carb out? My friend had a ty250 which was constantly cutting out and the bike would only start and run with the choke out, turns out his carb had a grass seed in it
February 16, 200422 yr O ring must be in place at the bottom of the needle jet holder to seal to the bottom of the bowl. Otherwise you won't get any control from the main jet.
February 17, 200422 yr As far as the autolube goes, I would can it and run premix. Mine worked fine but I decided to take it off so I would never run the risk of it NOT working. I now run mine 50:1 and it runs great. All you need is a small oval plate to cover the hole where the autolube drive gear went. As far as the carburator, get a Mikuni.
